I spent some of yesterday morning at another of Symposium Event’s conferences. Out of these, Andy spent most time on the importance of performance support, eg in the picture above, in sustaining competency levels post a training event. OK, time to share a key event later in the year with you. Now unfortunately Im going to be in Asia for most of the Summer and am going to miss this event. I need two senior, internal HR practitioners to attend the event - free - and blog for me! Its a great event, so that shouldnt be difficult. GlobalHR. (81).
As the conference mailer today explains, HR (technology) is the new cool!: HR is the new cool. Fusion happens when and where HR & Technology engage with each other. and HR Tech Europe 2012 is the ONLY event in Europe with a speaker & agenda line up focused on the current and future challenges of Corporate HR.

Learning activities that are distinct events from the day-to-day job have less impact. They revealed that while 68 % of organizations leverage social media to reach external audiences, only 27 % of them provide employees with training on how to work with social media. I think I’m going to limit this to one event I attended last Wednesday, organised by Fairplace Cedar, and featuring Jeremy Kourdi, co-author of The Truth About Talent.
