GM was brought down by a flawed strategy, but an organization’s strategy is clearly a product of the knowledge that exists within its walls. Again, when I write down the information that caught my attention, I also try to record what I wanted to blog on it.
What were talking about here is how do people gather and process new information and develop new skills and knowledge as a result. For example, Ive used wikis to manage my own projects and RSS as a way to stay on top of information I need for my job. Mine is here. This isnt an LMS or a VLE. A PLE is for learners.
It taught most of us to wait passively for someone to feed us pre-formatted, pre-filtered information that we could then regurgitate back in some pre-selected form.
