It changed us from the learners we were at birth, into students who must rely on others. If youve spent any time at all with a pre-schooler, you know what Im talking about. Start asking questions.

Generative questions are the gold standard of learning from experience becasue they surprise us, engage both heart and spirit, build relationships, and reframe reality ( Bushe 2007 ). Each session has one client, the person with the issue, and up to 11 peers who have some knowledge or interest in that same issue. Action Learning.
Rather, the problem is that most course-managementsystems were developed at a time when the Internet was seen primarilyas a mechanism for information delivery. Course-management systems werenot created to enhance learning, but to make it easier for a facultymember to deliver materials to students.

Ive belonged to the Training and Development (TRDEV) listserv since the mid 1990s when it was owned by David Passmore at Penn State. At the same time, listservs can create an environment that isnt always open to "conversation." On a blog at least the blogger could keep things going on the topics that interested him or her.

More importantly, I don’t think the time-commitment has come at the expense of real living or relationships?—?even balancing each book’s affect on me at the time of my reading it and, to a lesser extent, its resonance unto me up through the present. These broad categories lay at the intersection of my aptitude and my interest.
