During last year’s WorkHuman Conference, pioneered by Globoforce , I heard several speakers talk about the annual performance review. There continues to be discussion about “ditching” or “killing” the traditional annual performance review. The performance review is only one piece of the overall performance management process. That was a big takeaway for me from this year’s WorkHuman conference, hosted by Globoforce. Maybe on some level I knew this, but speaker Caroline Adams Miller really made me focus on the topic by discussing the difference between performance and learning goals.
