GM was brought down by a flawed strategy, but an organization’s strategy is clearly a product of the knowledge that exists within its walls. The knowledge existed within GM to develop a more competitive strategy. The knowledgemanagement task is to bring together the collective knowledge of the organization to bear on complex issues.

At the start of the meeting, we enjoyed a nice conversation about what each of us are doing with knowledgemanagement. Gian Jagai of Hitachi Global Services was the main speaker discussed the entertaining topic of " So You Were Just Promoted to KnowledgeManager - Now What?
The article in question is ' KnowledgeManagement: The Role of Technology'. With Groove 2007 now being part of the Microsoft Office 2007 suite (enterprise edition) we may hear more of it again. I was asked last week by Jerry Ash, editor of InsideKnowledge , to contribute an article on IT as an enabler of KM.

A default check for knowledgemanagement shows a normalized interest over time graph. What about a comparison of a term like knowledgemanagement with web 2.0 The related terms for knowledgemanagement make sense, although the top related term is project management, which doesn't. since 2004?
