Has Praise in the Workplace Gone Too Far?

45 Things

"You're great." Who doesn't like to hear those words? Most of us enjoy getting a pat on the back, especially at work. Complimentary words give us confidence, they motivate us and they help us believe that what we really do matters. Still, there is nothing worse than praise that rings false. You know the kind: "Oh, your presentation was fantastic! The best I've ever seen! And I mean, EVER!" Wrong.

Evil HR Lady

So, it's been nearly a whole month since I signed off and I still don't have a computer. But, we arrived in beautiful Switzerland Wednesday afternoon and we are in love with the place. Evil HR Lady

But, let's start with the gum. While I hear peanut butter is good, I've never had any success with it. Not that I've tried to get gum off money, but money is made out of cotton fibres and I have had gum on clothes.) I suggest putting it in the freezer and then trying. Now, if it's not gum, but just general stickiness, there are other solutions. Working at what, I don't know. Cleaning tables, I suppose.
