Before he walked out, he came into my office and told me we didn’t have money for payroll. Over the next two years, with the help of an incredibly gifted new CFO, we executed a complete redesign of that organization, including new fundraising from the community, a change in program focus to provide services to HIV affected women and families and a major culture change. I was ready for a change and wanted to learn more about business.
